TRANSITIONS

We are experiencing transitions all the time, they are a normal aspect of being alive in a dynamic universe. Most transitions flow effortlessly and without thought, breathing in and out might be an example. Some take a bit of getting used to, such as waking from deep sleep. Other transitions can be extremely difficult, such as a death (our own or someone we love).
All transitions have something in common, that is, a pivot  point. in Craniosacral Therapy ,we would call this a still point. This is the very still place after something is finished and before the next thing begins. In CST, still points happen spontaneously or can be induced- either way, they represent a space of deep healing and re-organisation. During CST, a still point can appear for a moment or can linger for many minutes. While in a still point most people feel profound peace and stillness beyond normal experience.
If you are experiencing a stressful life transition of any sort, you might gain important wisdom from sitting in the "quiet spot" after an ending and before a beginning. Look for the still points in your life and savour the peace that exists there.
